is wonderful for walking along the sea or at the mountains. Many tour
operators organizing also safaris with jeeps at the mountains of Thassos.

Sailing association of
Thassos is organising swimming lessons for children and sailing courses with
certificate. The ofices of the association is at camping
Daidalos at Skala Sotiros. Tel: 0030 25930 23622, 23618 and 23794.
Diving schools do not exists. Thassos is an archeological
area and diving is forbidden.
July and August frequent cultural and sport activities of the local Community at the Camping
Prinos as well as infrastructure for Tennis, basketball, volley, beach volley
and football (5x5).
Tennis, volley ball and basket ball is offered in the most large hotels like
Alexandra beach, Ilio Mare etc.
There are several football
stadiums almost in every village and of course every village has its own
football team. Theagenis of Limenas is the first football team of the island
which is playing at The 4th professional League of Greece and it has been
climbed at the professional League since last year for first time at the
history of Thassos under the Coaching of Dimitrios Magafinis. We hope that
will remain in this category due to the fact that the island has only 14000
citizens and the resources in football players are limited.
